Admission
Students who are admitted to the College of Engineering as freshman are eligible to participate in the Freshman James Scholar Program provided that they achieve an ACT composite score of 33 or higher or an SAT score of 1450 or higher or are in the top 1 percent of their high school graduating class. The program will be discussed and admission applications accepted for incoming freshmen during the summer orientation program.
Freshmen who do not qualify upon admission may apply during the first two weeks of their second semester if they have achieved a 3.3 Grade Point Average or higher during their first semester. (3.5 GPA for ECE majors)
